Children are encouraged, from an early age to be aware of communication through modern technology and to become comfortable with the use of a computer for activities such as writing, collecting data and problem solving. They are taught, through Information Technology, to communicate their ideas in different forms using text, tables, pictures and sound. Children are able to take advantage of appropriate Internet facilities using sites which are developed for very young people.
Each class has two computers which are used by all children consolidate and develop their work in various subjects of the curriculum.
The ICT suite provides facilities for a whole class of children to be taught ICT skills in a purpose built environment. Additionally, our classrooms have interactive whiteboards which are used as a teaching resource across the the curriculum and facilities for children to use ICT anywhere on the school site.
