WELL-BEING AND DISCIPLINE
We seek to provide for our children a calm controlled atmosphere where learning can readily take place, where high standards of work and behaviour can be expected and where self discipline is encouraged. The occasional example of disorderly or unsuitable behaviour is dealt with promptly and firmly.
We hope for the co-operation of parents in this matter, as in all others which concern the welfare of individual children and of the school as a whole. If it is found that any child is regularly causing discipline problems, then the parents of the child concerned will be invited to discuss the situation and possible solution with the Headteacher. Early consultation and discussion is best done when a problem first seems likely to arise. It is vital that parents inform us of any change of circumstances at home. Personal information of this nature will always be
treated as strictly confidential.
The staff exercise the kind of control over pupils that would be exercised by a reasonable parent. Our normal form of punishment is the removal of some appropriate privilege. Corporal punishment is never used.
