Dear Parents
The Mini Marathon has now become a tradition at Southwater Infant School and as the second half of the summer term approaches it is time to launch “Mini Marathon 2007”. The children will be walking / running around a course 26 times to help raise funds towards a major school project of a ball space, and other smaller equipment for the playground.
The event will take place on the morning of Friday 15 June and once again we have planned a spectacular event, so be sure to put the date in your diary! All parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles are invited to come along at 10.00am to encourage and cheer the children around the course.
The theme of the Mini Marathon is linked to this year’s Carnival which is “All Creatures Great and Small” so the children can dress up in animal fancy dress or wear shorts and t-shirt.
We are working hard to make this an event to remember. Now we need you to work hard and collect as many sponsors as possible…so please get collecting today and let’s make this Mini Marathon the most successful one yet!
