Dear Parents
WORLD BOOK DAY
This year we are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 1 March. This is a change of date to your Events List.
As part of our celebrations we would like to invite the children to dress up as a character from their favourite book, or bring in a ‘prop’ relating to their favourite story. We do ask that children do not bring any props that could be used as a weapon e.g. guns, swords, for obvious reasons!
Please ensure your child wears sensible shoes and a warm coat for playtime and lunch as normal.
Usborne Books will be in the school hall with a selection of books on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd from 2.45pm until 4pm. So that all books can be viewed, you will be able to order them on the day and they will be delivered approximately two weeks later. You may pay with cash, cheque, credit or debit card. (cheques payable to
J Michell).
We have chosen Usborne Books, not only because the books are excellent but also because of their generous free book package. We will gain £300 in free books for our school if you spend £500 so please use this opportunity to stock up on books for your family.
Attached to this letter is a £1.00 book token which can be used at Usborne Books or in the majority of bookshops.
