Dear Parents, Estimados Padres (Spanish), Cari Genitori (Italian)
European Day of Languages – 26 September
We are celebrating the European Day of Languages on Friday 26 September. The day will commence with a Continental Breakfast in the school hall from 8.15am. Parents and children are welcome to participate in this lovely start to the day! We would like to remind parents that children must be accompanied by an adult.
We are asking for a 50p donation per breakfast to cover the cost of the food to be paid on the day. Please fill in the slip below and return this to the school office by Monday 22 September if you would like to attend. This will help us work out numbers for our catering.
Each class in Year 1 and Year 2 will be focussing on a European Country and we would like the children will wear coloured clothing to represent the country’s flag.
AH - Italy - Red, white and green VM - Greece - Blue and white
LPT - Germany - Black, red and gold
JS - Greece - Blue and white
YS - France - Red, White and blue
JE/SF - Belgium - Black, red and gold
HS - Spain - Red and yellow
In Reception, children will be spending the afternoon learning a little about France. They do not need to dress up.
The aim of the day is to give the children experience of a variety of languages and cultures, by participating in a wide range of activities. We hope you will support your child and encourage them to share with you all their learning from the day.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Sue Winn
Headteacher
