Kids Like Us is an Ofsted registered daily breakfast and after school club at Southwater Infant and Junior Schools. Our aim is to create a club that offers guilt free childcare for parents by offering a stimulating and exciting environment to their children.
Breakfast Club
From 8.00am we offer breakfast of cereal,
toast and fruit juice and quiet activities
before the start of the school day. By
providing a calm atmosphere the children
are ready to start learning when they are
taken to class for registration.
After School
At the end of the school day we collect the children from their classes and bring them to our club room based in a mobile classroom on the school campus.
Activities are led by the children where they can choose from a variety of fun activities to keep them entertained for the afternoon. These include arts and crafts, outdoor play, imaginative and creative play, puzzles and board games.
We also offer an area where the children can
relax quietly, practise reading with one of the
staff or just chill in front of a dvd.
Every day we offer a range of outdoor play and
sports games that help to develop co-ordination
and social skills, including skipping, space hoppers,
basketball, cricket, football and ball games.
Children are offered a healthy snack and drink to
keep them going until they get home for tea.
What Kids Like Us means for Parents
Whether you need to use Kids Like Us regularly because you work, or occasionally because you need some extra time, you can have peace of mind that your child is receiving affordable high quality childcare in safe and secure surroundings. We have spaces available for occasional and regular bookings.
Being based in the school grounds means that children are familiar with the setting where they can get to know our experienced and friendly staff. It also means that the children can join in other school-based extra-curricular activities before coming to the club. Children who join early morning groups can also be accommodated.

We accept payment in childcare vouchers and parents can claim the childcare element of tax credits.
